Story time: How did he propose?

We were sitting on the couch watching the hockey game. Haha. During the commercial break, he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. Needless to say, I was surprised

He made me go on a scavenger around our apartment on Christmas morning. At the last clue I turned around to ask him what it meant and he was kneeling in our living room with the ring box in his hand. I couldn't stop crying! It was awesome!

First off, my fiance was kind of stupid for telling me he was going to ask me one day. Then he told me he put a ring on lay away. Talk about "ways to drive your girl nuts"!!!! For 2 months I had to wait... I thought he was going to ask Christmas, New Years, and we had a family trip planned to Mexico the week after New Years. I checked his damned bag for a ring box, no ring box. I was certain it would happen later. He tricked me into thinking it wasn't happening by inviting his brother and sister in law on a double date. We went for a walk on the beach with some drinks, and then he popped down on one knee and asked me. I couldnt stop crying! I was so happy! His sister in law sneakily caught it all on video and his brother was holding the ring. Turns out he gave the ring box to his mom to carry while we traveled there. Happiest moment of my life!!!

We had planned to be engaged by the end of 2016 so i knew it was coming but i didnt expect it to happen on this night. We went to this thing at Upper Canada Village called Pumpkinferno that we've been dying to go to for ages. They have thousands of pumpkins carved and lit up everywhere. We got to this bridge covered in fairy lights and pumpkins hanging everywhere and he got down on one knee and used the lyrics from my favourite Parachute song to propose. I still can't listen to that song now without crying haha

Ahh that's so sweet!!

He proposed to me at a vineyard we had visited before - this vineyard is gorgeous! There is a beautiful chapel there, a castle was built and everything there is built to give a very European feel. It ended up being a beautiful day, and we had two friends with us that I had invited (not knowing that this was going to be happening, of course); it turned out to be a blessing because they captured the moment with our cameras so now we have photos to look back on
