Story time: How did he pop the question?

We were sitting on the couch watching a hockey game. Haha.

So many great stories!

My fiancee asked me if I wanted to go to England to see is brothers, in September of last year! I agreed! Thought a family vacation would be nice! Then we arrive and his brothers flew in his parents over from Eastern Europe so we could all be together! I honestly thought that THEY were the surprise!
Then on a Tuesday, in September, in London, England, in front of Buckingham Palace, with his parents and brothers around us (pretending to take pictures), he traditionally got down on one knee and proposed!

It was special, sentimental and real! I was honoured he chose me! Not to mention I was pretty impressed at his confidence to do that in front of his family! What if I said NO! I will never forget that moment!

We had planned to be engaged by the end of 2016 so i knew it was coming but i didnt expect it to happen on this night. We went to this thing at Upper Canada Village called Pumpkinferno that we've been dying to go to for ages. They have thousands of pumpkins carved and lit up everywhere. We got to this bridge covered in fairy lights and pumpkins hanging everywhere and he got down on one knee and used the lyrics from my favourite Parachute song to propose. I still can't listen to that song now without crying haha

On the beach in Mexico at sunset. It was beautiful! I thought he was joking when he got down on one knee. I was like haha, get up. Then he pulled out the ring and I realized he was serious! I started balling haha.

My FH sent me on a post-it note scavenger hunt through our apartment on Christmas morning! The last note was under a statue that is on the top of a shelving unit in a corner and when I turned around he was on one knee with the ring in the box!

We were back East for a visit... In the evening on our second day there he suggested we go to the beach... We hung out for a bit looking at the water... He suggested that we go for a walk so I kicked off my shoes and said lets go... We got to an area that was rocky by the water but sandy towards the vegation... He started looking for sea glass... He called me over but I refused because of the rocks and no shoes... He call me over again "Nope"... Finally he grabbed my hand and pulled me over to where he was... I'm bitching the whole time then I look and see he is down on one knee, he turned his had over and there is my ring... We both cried... It was perfect.

We went out for a nice dinner, then went for a walk in this park we have in Peterborough (we enjoy hiking and taking walks together), and then when we got to this bridge he started telling me how proud he is of what we have accomplished together etc, and then got down on one knee!
