Stage & Doe Tickets

Chantel, on January 7, 2021 at 12:11 Posted in Before the wedding 0 3
Anyone know of any good websites to create stag and doe tickets in Canada - I am doing an online stag and doe and would like to put our grand prizes pictures on the tickets Thanks!

What Sara said. The reason online raffles are sketchy is because of the ability for the owner to scam the system. Even charities who want to sell raffles using a computer need to have the AGCO review and approve the system before they will grant a license. Because if you're just picking a number randomly from a list and then posting it on Facebook or something, there's no way for me to know whether you rigged the game for your family members and friends.

Oh wow that's interesting. Thanks for sharing. I've only started hearing/learning about Buck and Does lately as I never knew they existed prior, but interesting to see the rules around it.

I would be suuuuuper careful about any online raffles or fundraising, especially when it comes to distributing tickets (proof!!). It is illegal in Ontario to hold a raffle without a lottery license, and you typically cannot get a lottery license in Ontario unless you are a registered not for profit or charity.
Typically, people get away with Stag and Doe parties because people are paying money to get into an event with food, drinks, and music, and usually participating in "games of skill" to qualify to win a prize. Online fundraisers are a little sketchier as they cross into illegal online gaming. I’ve seen people fined for doing online wedding fundraisers twice in the last year. I would keep any fundraising you are going to do private, and do some research into your municipal rules before distributing tickets to the public!
