Stag n doe game ideas?

Emma, on April 10, 2017 at 23:51 Posted in Ontario 0 5
Hi everyone. My stag N Doe is in June. I have heard of doing the 50/50, toonie toss, pie to bride of groom's face, but was wondering if anyone had something creative for a game or suggestions? Smiley smile Thank you!

This was such a wholesome response and invite from Chelsea. Even though its years later it warmed my heart to see the friendliness

I am just trying to think of any others. I have never been to a jack and jill myself so this is all new for me also. There is one where you guess the number of beer caps in a jar and whoever is closest wins a prize - usually something alcohol related whether it is a gift card or a bottle of liquor. I have heard of people doing a mini golf one. Hole in one, you get a free beer. Some people do a casino theme and get games that would be played at a casino. Someone draw life-size silhouettes of the bride and groom ahead of time and tape them to the wall. Blindfolded guests take turn pinning giant lips on the bride or groom, with the winner being the one with best aim. Box Key: Use a box that has a lock and key to it and keep a prize inside. Every participant pays a fixed sum of money to buy a key and try their luck. The person whose key opens the lock, wins the prize placed inside the box, while the rest of the cash is collected by the couple. Find Me That Ribbon: Before the party, cut up several pieces of satin ribbons and stash them all around the house/party venue. Then, divide all the guests in pairs. At the blow of the whistle they must find as many ribbons as they can and start tying them into a rope. At the end of the 5 minutes, blow the whistle again and ask everyone to gather at the center. The pair with the longest ribbon rope, wins. This is all I can think of lol !

Hi Chelsea thank you for ideas Smiley smile If you have any other ones let me know please! I really was hoping to do like maybe one new or original game or something that would get the guest going but I guess I will have to do more thinking. I have venue , tickets, food, DJ etc all figured out by the help of the soon to be in-laws and family very fortunate in that way for sure. Thank you for the offer invite to your Jack and Jill but I will have to sadly pass. I hope you and your future husband have a good time and lots of laughs and fun ! Smiley smile

We are having our Jack and Jill in May. Like you we will be doing a toonie toss and the 50/50 draw. We are having other games, music, door prizes, raffle prizes, and a buffet of food as well!
Our first game we are doing is called "Crazy Jokers". You get a deck of cards and put them face down on a bristol board or some other type of board including a joker. When guests arrive you can ask them if they would like to purchase a card. $3 for one card or $5 for two cards. They pick a card and you write their name on that card. After all the cards have been purchased, the person who got the joker wins a prize. We are doing jays tickets for our prize. You can put all the jokers in there and then the guests have a higher chance of getting one but you will need more prizes, but it can be something like $20.

    Crazy Jokers

Our second game we are doing is called "Dart Poker". You can rent the game somewhere, but we are building our own board since there is nowhere to rent one around us. Guests purchase 6 darts to throw at the board of cards and the person with the highest 5 card hand at the end of the night gets a prize. $5 for 6 darts.

    Dart poker

Our third game we are doing is called "Crown and Anchor". I am unsure of the actual rules of the game but it is a popular and well known game. I think guests win money in it. My fiance's uncle rented it for us so we decided to take advantage of it being free to us!

    Crown and anchor

Our fourth game we are doing is called "Nail and Hammer". I think it could go by other names as well. You get a stump of some sort and the guests try to hit the nail into it the least amount of times. Usually girls don't like to participate when they are doing against guys so we are doing one for girls and one for the guys and we are going to charge $2 a nail. The guy winner and the girl winner will each get a prize and so it will be a "his" and "hers" type prize which will be fun!

    Nail and hammer

Our final game we are doing, I call "Fishbowl shot glass". You can use a fishbowl or another larger bowl if you wish to. You put a shot glass in the bottom of the bowl and fill the bowl with water. Guests throw a loonie or toonie in there. If they get their money into the shot glass, they get a free drink. We have some non-drinkers coming to our jack and jill and so we will offer them a free drink, or an extra ticket into any raffle of their choosing.

Another popular one is bra pong. We didn't consider doing this one as we have friends from church coming, so it would be inappropriate but I hear it is a popular one.

    Bra pong

We considered doing plinko from the price is right, go to jail, balloon darts and fish or pie insurance. With plinko, guests could win random prizes of your choosing. Go to jail you can rent or make your own jail cell. Guests pay for other guests to be put in jail - $5. When guests are in there, someone will have to be a security guard and the person inside can't talk, can't have their phones or their drinks in there and this lasts for 15 minutes. We didn't have the space for this one unfortunately. We considered balloon darts as well; the guests throw darts at the balloons and some might have prizes in there and some might now. Fish and pie insurance are the same thing but you can do it different ways. When guests arrive they have to pay for fish or pie insurance (whichever one you decided to go with) and if they don't insure themselves they will have to enter their name into a draw. Whoever gets their name picked either gets a pie in the face, or they have to eat the poor fishy! These were all great options as well but you have to keep in mind that you don't want too many games because then you wont make a profit on anything and there will be too much going on. Also another thing to consider is space. You will need space to have everything set up, guests to move around, and if you are feeding them like us, places to sit and eat.

    Go to jail

    Fish insurance

    Balloon darts

    Plinko

If you need any help with a menu, or raffle baskets, or other prizes, I would love to help as much as I can! I know we don't know each other but if you want you could come to my jack and jill and see how things are being done, just to get an idea! I hope this is all helpful! Smiley smile
