Stag and doe

Have a lot of games and tell people to invite friends of friends, dads, uncles, step moms anyone to come. you should also charge a few dollars for tickets as well. just have a bunch of games. if you do it at a house you have to buy all the different kinds of booze and then that gets expensive

For our wedding social we found that it was best to do everything yourself!

This way you can keep the cost of drinks down to barely profitable which keeps people happy and wanting to attend, and also get them tipsy enough to buy too many that they won't use plus buy tickets for the raffles if they didn't already.

The venues that wanted to charge drinks themselves were wanting $5 a drink whereas our social had drinks for $3ish...

For sure wouldn't do BYOB for a Social but not sure how people feel about it for a Stag & Doe.

Oh, and make sure to sell "support" tickets!!

You can sell tickets to attend the party. I've seen it done a few times. You can make alot of money
Ppl will buy them and not even come. they just wanted to help pitch in. I would start sell.asap. also a door prize is good because then ppl are more likely to buy tickets. I plan on selling my tickets for at least 6 months. I would charge 5$ nothing much. But it adds up in the end. Maybe you can get someone to donate the door prize. You would be surprised by how many ppl that would love to help.

Yeah it's very popular in Ontario. I've known couples in their 20s and 30s do it. I think raffle prizes make a lot of money if you get the prizes donated. It doesn't cost you anything that way. Alcohol is a hit and miss because there's a huge cost to you upfront. How much money are you hoping to make and how many people are you inviting?

It is huge in Ontario though I've seen some posts about how the rules have changed. I think our biggest money makers were the twonie toss, the whack off and the raffle table/door prizes. I think making money off the bar depends on if your friends are drinkers or not. Two stag and does I helped with, the bar was a huge money maker, the third it wasn't a big money maker. We didn't have 50/50's because we didnt give anyone their money back (totally not the point of a stag and doe). Find the joker did well. We sold 2 or 3 boards for that.

I had never heard of a stag and doe making the couple money before this app. Is it a big thing in Ontario? I don't think it happens in the maritimes.
