Stag and Doe

Megan, on June 18, 2019 at 19:17 Posted in Before the wedding 0 4
Hey all, I’m having my buck and doe on the 20th of July. I’ve never been to one personally and have no idea how they work. Tickets have already been sold and still selling, I’ve got a location booked, I have the DJ booked. I’ve started accumulating game ideas and prizes but really don’t know how many games and prizes per game we should be doing. Any advice on how the games work would be great!

I second this idea. Using drink tickets is a good prize because many people who make up ticket packages only include a couple tickets.

I really haven't seen many people doing prizes for the games, sometimes its their money back if they win, or half of their money back for winning.

    HI Megan,

I recently had a stag and doe- have you collected raffles yet? This would be something you could get from local businesses as donations or you ask the wedding party to donate something to the table for the raffles example crock pot with receipe book, spa day, work boots, decor sign etc.

It also depends were you are in Ontario for the SOP you will need to get- some places you can't always do a toonie toss. If you can- then you pick bottle of alcohol usually a 60 or a tex mickie and people toss toonies- I would google the rules on how its played because people do it different.

Raffle tickets- what people normally do where I am for prices- you can do a party pack or an arm length.

Have you got your Special occasion permit yet?

Have you got your insurance for the event?

Is the place providing the alcohol or are you? If you are, you need the SOP before you can pick it up and you need to staple all reciepts of what you bought where on it, incase inspector comes in.

If you have more questions and want to talk feel free to message me and can defiantly help you out! I am in ontario and did mine and we raised a good amount.

You could use drink tickets as a prize for some games like “score X amount of points and get a drink ticket, score X and get two”.

You could also also award a prize to the person with the highest score in a particular game. Say you’re doing a ring toss and the person who lands the most rings over the night gets a gift card or something.

Have stationary games that the wedding party can stay at and have your friends/family play and some that are toonie games for the liquor bottle of choices.

Pie in the face seems to be popular as well towards the end if you want to have everyone put some cash in the Bride or Groom bottles whomever has the most filled up.
