Hello, I was just wondering if people still do stags and how far before the wedding.would u do one.. both our parents are not helping financially so we need to try to make money somehow to help pay for the wedding. And does anyone have any other suggestions ??

Deffinitley still a popular event! Usually down around the 2-3 month mark prior to the wedding but can be done anytime

Many couples do plan stag and does (also known as Jack and Jill) to raise funds for their big days! They are typically planned at least 2 months before the wedding day.

Yes but here in Ontario what u call a stag/stagette is actually called a bachelorette party ect...

The stage is just a party you throw to be able to raise money to help.pay for the wedding

Yes it is still done. It can be 2 ways: the couple themselves planning it or the wedding party putting one for you.
Our MOHs along with the salon staff put one together for us 2 months prior our wedding month.
Buck and Buck in June and our wedding was August 2017

I would for sure say that people still do Stag & Doe's / Stag & Stagette / etc.
My wedding social was just back in March!
For the most part here in Manitoba we have a "wedding social season" which is usually in spring from as early as February and runs till end of May/June. Of course, you can still have a social in other months too but with that being said there wouldn't be a certain amount of months before the wedding that it takes place for here in Manitoba.
If you are only going by months then I would say that since your wedding shower should take place about 1-2 months before the wedding that you would be safe to have your Stag & Doe anywhere from 1 year to the 10 5 month mark depending on when you want it. I know that other than our social season we see some take place for Halloween and again for New Years!
