Stag & Doe

Sara, on August 28, 2019 at 11:44 Posted in Before the wedding 0 9
Hi,

Can you please tell me who you typically invite to your Stag & Doe? I have heard people that are invited to the wedding and people who are not? Is this true?

Here in Manitoba we have Wedding Socials - different name and we don't play games, just raffles, dancing, and booze.

Here's a link to my discussion on my social: Wedding Social Complete!

On our Facebook event page we called it "Kael & Tori's Wedding Social", but others have listed it as "Wedding Social in honour of ____ & ____"

We have invited/sold tickets to people regardless of if they are invited. We gave a stack of tickets to our MOH, BM and our parents and they've been selling them around to people they know, even some people from their work.

Anyone that you know! Family friends, coworkers, and literally anyone else. Many people open it up for everyone to make as much money as they can!

That is awesome - I just want to make sure we are not crass.

Did you call it a social? What did you name yours?

For my Wedding Social we opened it up to ANYBODY! Only law here in MB is that you can't buy tickets at the door so we made a FB event page where people could go to see who is selling tickets, what the prizes will be and how much alc. and raffle tickets cost!

We are having 250 people at our wedding but sold over 300 tickets to our social. This is a chance for those who aren't invited to the wedding to come and support you Smiley smile

If you are talking about a Bachelor(ette) then only if you are having an intimate wedding. I wouldn't invite girls to my bachelorette that aren't invited to the wedding unless they asked about it. Even then if they are that close to you then they should already be coming to the wedding.
