Spontaneous "honeymoon" to Mexico

When we got married in September we had no real plans for a honeymoon/familymoon. I was bummed but it made sense.


Well, life is ever changing because we now have 2 trips planned. We kind of spontaneously decided to go to Mexico in 2 weeks. And we had already started to plan a slightly spontaneous trip to Iceland in June (Iceland requires a bit more planning but we went from no plans to go to booked in a matter of hours)
I'm really excited, I could so use a beach vacation right about now. And hubby has been working so much it will be nice to just relax together. The kiddos are coming to both trips so we'll have some good family time.
I suppose a spontaneous honeymoon is consistent with a spontaneous wedding planned in 5 weeks 😂
Who else was spontaneous with their honeymoon?

    This is great!! awesome i loved mexico! we randomly plan trips each year. were like oh we havent been away in a while and we just book something!

    We had considered going to Vegas for a couple of days but I'm thinking we will do family trip either a cruise or a beachy resort. Something warm.

    We haven't decided on a honeymoon yet, but if I find a good deal on a spontaneous one we'd be gone!

    Yeah, I'm usually the type to plan well in advance, but it is great to start counting down right at the end! I can see more last minute trips in our future

    St Lucia will be phenomenal, I'm sure! That is definitely something to look forward to!

    We love Mexico, too! We are going to Playa Del Carmen, to an eco resort we just love. This will be our 4th time there, 3rd time at this particular resort. Can't wait!

    I'm so happy you're getting away! Especially now that winter is starting to slowly creep its way upon us! I love Mexico! Whereabouts are you headed?


    Our honeymoon isn't spontaneous at all - I think we may be looking more forward to our honeymoon than the wedding! We're going to St. Lucia - we can't wait to be beach blobs Smiley laugh

    So exciting!
    Although we have had our honeymoon planned for a while (We leave next week YAY!), we have done the last minute trip and its an amazing feeling!

    Normally I would think we couldn't just up and leave either, especially leading up the Christmas. My husband works in the entertainment industry and usually this is prime Christmas show time. But he was game to forfeit a Christmas show this year so we could run away for a week and a half.
    I guess we are getting spontaneous in our old age!!!

    If we could just up and leave we so would!!! I would love to avoid the 3rd snowfall of the season Smiley tongue Looks like we will be waiting to go somewhere in January but we are looking into it already Smiley smile
