Speeches and kids

Amanda, on June 23, 2018 at 08:10 Posted in Ontario 0 4
So neither my SO or I enjoy making speaches, in fact just thinking about standing front of people to say our vows scare us. My question is, has anyone been to a wedding with no speaches?
We are having my kids in the wedding party, 2 teens and a 9 year old. We are trying to decide if we want the guest to allow their kids. If we did there would be 24 kids ages range from 4 to 16. If we allow them how do you put the in the seating plans? Last wedding I was at all the kids were at one table.

Sit the kids with their parents. Having a kids table is just asking for trouble.

I have never been to a wedding without speeches but you can forego making one if you don't want to.

I think that seating kids with their parents is the best idea. All the kids at one table has the chance for too much noise and excitement that could interrupt things.

All the weddings i have attended have had speeches. If you as the couple don't feel to say anything, thats fine to skip.

Kids at the wedding can have their table or be seated with families as its done in indian culture. We allow kids at weddings as its a family affair too to enjoy. Something to remember is that kids grow up fast and you don't get to see them all the time.

No, I have not been to a wedding without speeches, but if you don't like speeches, just don't do them!

As for kids, we're not anticipating a lot of children at our wedding, but whatever children do come are sitting with their parents. I don't personally like the idea of a kids table.
