Songs for bridal party

Kimberly, on February 15, 2020 at 10:12 Posted in Wedding ceremony 1 11
I find I am struggling to find a song for our bridal party to walk down the aisle to. What are some ideas or songs you’re contemplating?

There was only 1 song played for the whole procession and us walking down the aisle.
It all depends on the couple and knowing the wedding party song genres to choose to play seperate from yours.

For our wedding party we had them walk down to First Day Of My Life by Bright Eyes, then we all walked out to Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours) by Stevie Wonder. Finally we all walked into the reception to the song All You Need Is Love by The Beatles!

We stuck to country songs for our ceremony.

The boys walked down to "Made for you" By Jake Owen

The girls walked down "To the Moon and Back" by Luke Bryan

My family is quite musical. Myself and my two brothers did musical theatre, and the one brother plays guitar and writes music while I play a bit of ukelele. I’m going to ask my brother to play the guitar while we walk down the aisle. Not sure of which song yet, but if you have any musically inclined friends, it could be a really special moment

We are using the cello and piano version of "can you feel the love tonight". The Lion King was my favourite movie to watch with my grandfather who passed away a few years ago. It's really sentimental and will be a surprise for my family when they hear it.

IMO, movies have some of the most beautiful music out there so you could try that direction if you don't care if you have lyrics. I've chosen a film score from my FH and my favourite movie.

My bridal party is walking down to Marry You by Bruno Mars! I can't wait, its such a fun song. I think it will make me feel less nervous as well haha.

I also like the idea of instrumental popular songs. I would choose something that people have a bit of fun with and sets a nice tone.

I'm a fan of instrumental versions of songs, so that the words don't distract from the moment, and sometimes the melody is beautiful but the words don't fit the occasion. Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur is on my instrumental list because I don't want the words "throwing up" taking anyone out of the moment but I love the sound.

I've got a few Ed Sheeran songs on my list for background and ceremony music like Kiss Me, and Tenerife Sea (I love love love this song and thought about it for our first dance but my fiance is not a fan of Ed). I've also found a few remakes of old songs by new artists like Can't Help Falling in Love (by Elvis) sung by Hayley Reinhart and Stand by Me done by Florence and the Machine. They would all make lovely processional songs too!

I mean it totally depends what kind of music you like, in the ceremony all instrumental music or with lyrics, etc. but some options I’ve heard are fireflies by owl city, marry you by Bruno Mars, the piano guys, home by Phillip phillips.
