Small, at home, wedding ideas

Nicole, on September 5, 2018 at 17:41 Posted in Wedding reception 0 7
My wedding will be small (about 30 guests) and will be at my house. I'm not expecting there to be much dancing and so I'm trying to think of other ways to keep my guests entertained. Any ideas?

Simple and easy does the job.

Rent a tent and some tables for the backyard kerping the house floor open for dancing.

Long tables can have the open look on two sides and the cake table on the side by the door.

I would keep it simple. Usually in smaller groups people are pretty good about entertaining themselves with conversation and snacks. I would think about what your group usually enjoys during bbqs or dinner parties for entertainment.

If the weather is good lawn games can be a great idea as well as group games like what the meme, battle of the sexes, cards against humanity, etc. However, these games don’t go over as well with some groups so if these are things your group enjoys it might be a fun alternative.

I'd probably not try too hard to entertain your guests, because most people are probably quite happy to just mingle for the most part and forced fun is rarely fun.

It's great to have some options available, but I wouldn't try to have big group activities and stuff.

Lawn games are always a big hit, but if the weather does not cooperate having some games that can be played indoors is a good idea too..Jenga, board games...they are always a big hit. Anything that can coincide with everyone socializing would work!

That small of a group is actually much easier to entertain than a mid-size group. You can do lawn games, party games, trivias, competitions, etc.... As well as the fact that it's probably a close knit group of people who mostly know each other, and just socializing and visiting will take up most of the time!

Sounds so quaint and intimate. I hope you have fun!!!

That sounds nice and cozy! What is your plan for the day? i.e.; meals, photos. We could help you plan around that.
