An idea of different colours to show your favourite drinks and flavours. Sangria can be a choice for wine lovers as a seperate option.

Ask a friend or bartender you know personally to make a drink that suits you and FH best and give it a catchy name.

I have 2 AWESOME coffee recipes.

one is a velvet martini
Kahlua, vodka, baileys and some coffee. shaken with ice. strained (no ice in the drink).

and then a boozie cold coffee

1 shot Kahlua, 1 shot crème de menthe, 1 shot of coffee liquor, 8oz of coffee (my friend makes this in a coffee pot size. so its a few drinks in the pot with that booze).

Thanks ladies, I am trying to make it as personal as possible. We will have one signature drink combined for the bride and groom. We both love coffee so we're thinking something along those line. I did find a few coffee based cocktail recipes online

We aren't doing a speciality cocktail for reception. but FMIL wants to for the rehearsal dinner.

I highly recommend sticking with whats personal/you like as a starting point.

like for my FH. he LOVES lemonade. all of our friends know it. so we are doing something lemonade based (probably with vodka).

and then I drink mostly vodka...but LOVE rye. so will probably do a rye cocktail.

a signature cocktail can be super simple (like a vodka/lemonade). or to add a bit more flare you could add a flavored syrup. we are thinking vodka, lemonade, honey simple syrup.

I used to bartend... So I would suggest starting with what's personal to you, and then making or finding a drink that works with that.

I have 2 signature cocktails at my wedding, both of which may or may not work for you (if they're willing to bring in special alcohol for the cocktails).

1) Blushing Bride - 1 oz peach schnapps, splash of grenadine, champagne to fill.

2) White wedding - 1 oz vodka, 1 oz elderflower liquor, splash of lime, white cranberry cocktail.

We did a cocktail tasting at our house last winter and tried 30-ish cocktails with about 40 friends. These were the two cocktails that every single person rated as an 8, 9 or 10 out of 10.
