Second Wedding

We are in the same boat, I think the most guests give monetary gifts.

My husband and I wrote this little insert with our invites to let our guests know

"We don’t have a gift list for all of you to see.

As we have everything we need in our home.

Your presence at our wedding is a gift by itself.

If you desire to give nonetheless,

A monetary gift is one we suggest."

This is our second marriage, we live together already as well. we did not register for anything either nor did we make any mention of monetary and/or gifts from our guests. I personally did not feel comfortable stating what they should bring. Generally, people know to give the monetary gift anyways.

Weddings I know of generally give monetary gifts if the couple isn’t registered. With only a couple people buying or making a gift they think the couple would enjoy.
You could also say you would prefer a monetary gift in lieu (lots of different wording examples online), or setup a honeymoon fund. Someone once setup excursions and such you could purchase for their honeymoon.
