Seating chart!

Louisa, on April 5, 2021 at 20:35 Posted in Wedding reception 0 2
Hi!

So my question is how would you write out guests names for a seating chart?
J DoeJohn.DFamily of Doe.
It's 10 ppl per table and feel like when I add the full names it really makes the seating chart huge! Also for example there will be two tables with the same family so thats hard too because I just wanted to write Family of ....... I just feel like it looks simple and nicer.
Advice please!!

I would consider the idea of putting couples names as one while individuals would be separated as well as children (if attending) per table. You can be creative by names of what you both have interests or simple numbers. When making the names of each table, I did break the family up to seat on different tables to have company of others appropriately. Husbands aunt sat with my moms family, each brother sat on different tables with some of the in laws and cousins by couples or families. Second family sat with the wedding party, Co-workers on one table as friends were the tables remaining.

It's meant to be a huge print out. Usually you write out the whole names in alphabetical order and list the table next to them so they can easily find it and find their table.

You can also sort by table number but then people are forced to look at each table's list of names. And the size won't be smaller.

If you don't want to make a big print out, you can do name cards with each person's table number on it.
