Seating chart

Mahsa, on January 7, 2020 at 22:06 Posted in Wedding reception 0 9
What did everyone do for seating chart? My meals are same for everyone.

Was it easier to do labels with folded cards or print a big seating chart by dealing with a vendor? I know this is task for last week before wedding where there is so much other stuff to do.
also what template/ method did u use for seating chart planner? My RSVP is through the knot and they don’t have seating chart planner.

It doesn't even necessarily need to hang on anything. Our venue supplies and easel but it could just as easily lean up against a wall. I've been learning calligraphy so I'm just going to hand-write our tables on watercolour paper (a book is about $15 at Michaels), but you could definitely print on that too. Or even Vistaprint prints signs for pretty cheap - especially if you wait for one of their 50% off sales.

We were originally going to write it all down on a chalk board for guests to read and then find their table by number - but then the day of the wedding we had like 10 guests say they weren't going to make it anymore and then another 10 didn't show at all so we just let everybody pick their own seats.

Try any printing locations that will create your designs and size provided the image by email to them.

Vistaprint is great to choose the style of pattern and size for your menu card allowing you to choose the font and add text boxes anywhere to add information. The site sends you emails for savings up to 50% off everything paying half the price.

Seating chart can be used with the design chosen on The Knot or creating one that you love. The chart can be simple and no floral needed given the cost of the vendor to go ahead or create your board and place at a printing company with the seating arrangement done yourself at home.

As for the food being served the same, there is a choice to let your guests know what you have planned by putting a menu card per table. An idea to follow if chosen:

Wedding Wire has their own seating chart planner that I find works well. I've been playing with it and we haven't even sent out invites yet lol. We're giving our guests a couple meal options to choose in advance so we have to have assigned seats (and place cards) that we'll give to the venue for the servers for their reference. I'm also making our own seating chart to look like this one - it'll cost less than $20 to make without the florals. And it's super easy to print off your own table assignments to avoid using a vendor and keep your cost down a bit!

I think if everyone has the same meal I would do a seating chart. The only reason we aren’t doing one is because each guest selects their own meals.

Etsy has a lot of seating chart designs I believe! I’m looking into using one for my bridal shower!
