So the head table in on one side of the floor and oppisite from this is the Dance floor / buffet. I want to see my future in laws by the dance floor as this is closer to the bathrooms and is were most on the entertainment will be. My BF dad is 89 and in a w/c.

I am against people moving tables as the night goes on. I know I can not stop it but I do not want my family returning from dancing to find older in laws sitting in thier seats.

Am I wrong to feel this way or should i just seat them close to the head table and then they move later or just do what I want since it is my wedding.

In turn my mom is in a wheelchair and will most likely sitting by the dance floor too.

Personnaly, I really love your idea. Cause a wedding is meant to have fun with the people you love, so yes that include to go on the dance floor. So I'll say go for your idea Smiley smile

I might ask you in laws which they prefer. Wheelchair access will be key for two individuals it sounds like so I think that their ability to get around is # 1 concern! you could even use this as a reason to ask guests not to move tables through the evening....Just mark certain seats as reserved, and maybe have your venue run point on keeping a clear path.

Hi Andraya! Welcome to the community! Smiley heart This is such a gorgeous venue!! Smiley love Where is it? I think it's a good idea to have your parents and in-laws somwhere that will be accessible for them and easy to move around. You could also put a "reserved" sign on their seats:

    Reserved seats

Could that help? Let us know how it goes! I'd love to hear what solution you found! Smiley smile

I'm having a hard time picturing the layout but you should make every effort to have both sets of parents nearby and in full view of the head table. People will move around after dinner, it is just inevitable. But if you tightly make the seating chart sitting groups together you can at least reduce this as much as possible
