So my fiancé and I are really wanting to have our wedding ceremony at our church. We basically had all of our Catholic sacraments up until this point. Also had all our graduations at this church (elementary, junior high and high school). It holds a lot of history for us. However, we found out that at a Catholic church, we cannot recite our personal vows. Which kind of sucks, because we have always talked about writing our own vows and reciting it to each other, especially in front of our loved ones.
Now my question is, would it be odd to say it at the reception? We would do it during our speech at the end. Any thoughts or other ideas?
