Save the dates

Shannon, on July 28, 2019 at 13:12 Posted in Before the wedding 0 9

Hello fellow wedding planners.

Is it tacky to create address labels on the computer? and use them our mailing list with save the dates?

Should I hand write them?

How did you handle your save the dates?

I used a fancy font for our address labels - I used clear labels and a cursive looking font (Alex Brush)

TBH, I did this for the invitations too since my hand-writing is horrible and I didn't want to pay a calligrapher for it. Most people will probably throw out the envelopes anyways, and I don't think it's tacky. I did use higher-quality envelopes though to "make up" for the computer labels lol

I think hand-writing them adds a certain personal touch.

I did labels on a computer for my sister- I did the color of the label to match the color of the envelope- example white labels with white envelopes. Wasn't really noticeable and my opinion its fine!

For save the dates we're going to do a cursive font on clear labels. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, I say let the printer handle that part of the stress for you! lol

I used regular mailing labels and just printed a simple text on them for save the dates.
Then for invites I did a cursive font and clear labels to make them look fancier.
its honestly so much easier than hand writing each one! And with all the different fonts you can change up the style to fit your theme!

Didn't do Save the Dates but used stickers for the invitations! Just chose a fancy font of course - no Arial or Comic Sans for that!! Cursive is what we used but there are many options to choose from.

I used computer labels. They turned out fine! I even used a cursive font to make them a bit fancy and the post office could read the postal codes fine!

I used stickers! we designed our save the dates on vista print using a photo from our engagement photo shoot, and designed the return address stickers labels to match! we did write out the guests names and addresses but only because i didn’t think of doing them on the computer! i may steal your idea for our invitations - so smart!
