Save The Date!

Janaya, on December 5, 2018 at 14:24 Posted in Before the wedding 0 17

Hey Ladies! Just a quick question.. What info would you put on your save the dates? we are only sending out about 10 just to our guests that we want to invite that will have to fly out or drive from a distance. I bought these blank cards that on the front say Mr & Mrs and the inside of the card is blank and I will just write in the info. what I was thinking of putting:

Save The Date

Janaya Coles & Kevin Mora-Olguin

August 3rd, 2019

Saskatoon, SK

should I add in a little blurb about hoping they can make it or a little poem from pinterest? I want to make them .. not boring haha

let me know your thoughts!

The only other thing I included was my wedding website. BUT beware because I wish I would have waited. I purchased my wedding invites off minted.com and they include a free wedding website. Unfortunately, I included my knot.com wedding website on my save the date.

What you intend to put sounds great to me! That's all my fiancé and I put on ours and it turned out fine. We wanted to keep the location a surprise for the time being, even if a few of our guests already know where our ceremony/reception will be held.

    We included!
    - Save the Date
    - Date
    - Our names
    - Location (just Mississauga, Ontario
    - "Formal invitation to follow"

I think having the "formal invite to follow" is important! I found a LOT of people thought this save the date was an actual invite until they read that line hahha!!!

What you have is great, I would just add “invitation to follow” as well!

With STDs I definitely think less is more. If you have the date and location you are doing great. If you have a website you could also put that on the back.

    Keep it simple!

Your names, date, location and wedding website if you have one! A friend of mine once told me : If you need to add a bunch of stuff to your save the date, you probably need a wedding websiteSmiley laugh

I like what you said. I would add the "invitation to follow" after that.

This was how we had done ours! We did it via paperless post so I paid like $18 for them, it was great. We kept ours quite simple and in very simple colours because we sent them out super early due to the fact some of my family is coming from England and hadn’t decided on a colour scheme yet.

Tori's is hilarious... but super simple works just fine too!! This is the one I made for us. I printed a few on card stock, but mainly just e-mailed or sent out digital copies to everyone.
