Sandy Aisle

Emilyn, on December 5, 2019 at 21:30 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 7
So we are getting married at a private lake, the ceremony will be right on the beach by the water. My dress has a long train that I don't want dragging through the sand!! Any ideas for what to lay down on the aisle on the sand? Fabeic is out because it will sink in to the sand. We have absolutely no restrictions, we know the guy that owns the beach and are free to do whatever we so please!

If it’s cottagey, I’d ask if they have any dock walkways that you can just lay in the sand. And they’d probably be free or just a little more with the property

Considered a heavier material that will hold the weight of the sand and for your train to carry across. It may the possible solution or putting foam underneath the fabric to hold it up.

I would say to put down some wood to make a boardwalk like Amelia suggsted - or maybe like a bamboo or grass matt type of runner.

You can do like the royals do and have small children hold your train as you walk down instead of flower girl/ring bearer, unless you know more children then can have both lol

It might make sense to build a little boardwalk. Stepping stones won't keep the dress off the sand the whole time, but a wooden walkway/boardwalk could be kept sand free. Depending on your theme you could make it look more rustic or clean and modern.
