Round or square wedding cake?

I am thinking about doing a round cutting cake and then a selection of cupcakes because I am hopeful they will be able to accomodate some gluten free ones for our guests who have that dietary need. I have seen some really beautiful tiered displays with cupcakes on the always dangerous pinterest.

I love the round look better. When I see square cakes I think of a birthday party with lots of kids. We are just having a one tier cake for us to cut and them cupcakes for everyone else and the cake is going to be round

No we won't do tiers. We aren't very traditional in much anything aha. We decided to do 2 rectangular ones. Portrait style will be how they are presented based on how they will be decorated. One on the left will have the two of us holding hands running and the right one will have the tardis from doctor who on it (all directly decorated on the cake) . Then I'll put a little banner across (staked into them) that says "Together forever through time and space". We are super excited. Flavour wise we honestly are just thinking vanilla with fudge and chocolate with oreo crumble (dairy queen).

I love both. Depends on the style . I went with a small round cake and cupcakes

Probably round - we are thinking 2 round ice cream cakes (it's our fave) with some cupcakes for people who dont like ice cream cake

If we choose a cake over cupcakes it will be very similar to the cake on the right in your picture! I love the candy pearls and rosettes!

Even if we choose cupcakes we will be cutting a cake, and it will be round. I am making the cake myself, and find round ones much easier to decorate.
