Good morning:

My fiancé and I are planning a very small wedding that is immediate family only. We do not want to host a reception, and we are paying for the full wedding by ourselves and have scaled right down so that we plan within our means.

We have told our family that in lieu of gifts, we would like to have the family go to a restaurant after the ceremony for a dinner, and everyone is okay with that (very positive feedback). We will be paying for the deposit for the private room at a local restaurant, and have arranged a set menu that is $50/person. We are planning to attach the menu to the invitation.

We are looking for wording to use on the invitations to clearly state to RSVP for wedding ceremony and RSVP for dinner at your own cost in lieu of gifts.

Any suggestions for the wording?

I like the first one too. You could also include the set menu with the price per person that would kinda give a hint that they are responsible for paying.
