I feel like a benefit to buying is you can resell!

Im looking at stuff on buy and sell pages as well; seems to lower the cost and if i can find people in my area, i can go see the items first.

Renting is about the same as purchasing, yet ni storage at home after the wedding. Rentals can be gone back and not a thing to worry about.

We are looking into buying our table linens as well if you keep looking it can be a little cheaper especially buying them in the states or having them shipped to the border. Also potentially plan on having a rental company after so more bang for the buck!

Renting some. My lanterns I purchased but am having draws for gifts. Bought my chair bows and ivy garlands bc I can use them for crafts or donate some to the different groups here in town. The skirts I am renting. The cost of having an event decorator weighed heavy so I opted to purchase and it was somewhat cheaper which allowed me to save for my Celtic dancers.

Yeah i get that. But I can rent them out or sell. Plus my mom is an event planner Ann's wants to get more into the renting stuff etc. So I can gift them to her.

We are renting everything. I wanted colour for the linens but I have no use for 18 navy blue tablecloths lol

Renting. Our caterer is allowing us to rent them at their cost, which is $2-$3 each for table linens.

If you don't want to deal with them lying around your place and selling them, then I'd go with rental. Sometimes the cost is worth the lack of hassle.

I've been really fortunate and I have friends who bought tablecloths for their weddings and are letting me borrow them for my wedding!

I rented because our wedding was out of town and I was already bringing enough things that I didn't want to have to travel with anything else or think about anything else.

I bought them and am going to resell! I just don't want to "lose" my money renting. I know other people will disagree with me on that point but I'd prefer to break even on the linens that way it's not a big expense for me.

I rented anything I was able to...because even if it's the same price, you still have to deal with the hassle of storing and then selling things afterward...that was my thought process anyway! Smiley smile
