We are thinking about a early evening wedding then having charcuterie boards on each table. For speeches. We will offer a late night Buffett. Good idea or not? Will people judge.

I literally love that idea and you totally made me consider doing it for my wedding too! You could also add a huge dessert table with cake, cookies, cupcakes, muffins, fresh fruit etc. I'm sure after charcuterie, late night snack and lots of dessert people will be full.

PS - people will judge no matter what, so just try not to care and do what you want!

There's always a chance people will judge. Do what works for you and let your guests know in advance what to expect. If you don't mind me asking, why not offer a buffet at regular dinner time and a small snack after?

Thank you for your feedback. It is a tough decision. Don't want to seem cheap or unappreciative.

As long as your guests are aware that is what you are serving (so they cannhave a meal before hand if they are the type who need more food), then it should be fine. I’ve known people who did something like this and everyone had a great time at their wedding.

Cold cuts and cured meat. Usually there are also crackers, bread, nuts and olives and other things of the sort.
