Reception set up for wedding with food stations

Kelly, on February 10, 2020 at 18:22 Posted in Wedding reception 0 3

Does anyone have photos of or ideas for how to set up the reception area for a wedding with food stations? The space we are thinking of is long and narrow. I'm assuming we will need a mixture of cruiser tables (high tops) and regular tables. I'm wondering how to pull this off while maintaining an elegant feel.

I agree with Amelia, you should definitely ask the venue if they have photos of setups in the space from previous weddings. You could also check out 'Real Weddings' from the venue.

We're doing food stations with regular tables to sit at. I've tried to spread out the food stations on each of the four walls of the venue, to try and get rid of any traffic issues. I'm also putting one menu at each table of 10, so people can decide which food station they want.

I'd be interested to know what you come up with for a narrow room!

If the space has hosted weddings before I would ask if they have any event photos.

You could also ask the caterers if they have photos too.
Do you need space for servers to dish out food (cafeteria style) or is everything self serve? Do you want the table in the middle with everyone walking around it or more of a straight or u-shape where the traffic all moves in one direction from start to finish?
