Reception or no Reception?

Congratulations 🥳 Candice!!
We’re planning to get married in October. We’re planning ceremony and reception in the same location. At the moment there are 70 of us in total. Hope that all is well during that time, we will continue. If not, we will have to knock down the amount according to if there are restrictions that time. September 5 and with 25 people. Still deciding if we're going to do a lunch ceremony or dinner, since we'll be outside and mosquitoes will be a thing in the dark.

We are getting married June 12th and we plan to have a reception with just 9 people and it'll last for however long everyone wishes to stay. The ceremony and reception are both taking place outside, and we'll be doing the cake cutting, dances, and toasts just like we had originally planned with a guest count of 50. We were never planning to do the garter and bouquet tosses, so nothing lost there. Then we've changed the menu to better suit having only 9 people, as well as the amount of alcohol and the selection to a much simpler list.

March 13, 48 people, ceremony was at 5:30, full reception was 6:15pm-12:30am (beginning with cocktail hour). Our original date was NYE so it was NYE in March 🤣. I'd say a large chunk left shortly after our "midnight" countdown and toast, which we did at 11pm, but the last of us left at 12:30 as the venue had music stop at 12. It was SOOO much better than expected - the BEST night!!!! 🥰🥰 Happy to give more specific details!
