Love, love, love gold décor items! Good luck with the fireplace mantels.

You could use some votives and vases like these, perhaps throw in some flowers and candles as well!

Candles are something my venue has done a lot! Especially with the stone around your fireplace, they’re quite simple but they play on the natural beauty of the fireplace

An alternative to a garland would be different sized votive candles set on top of a sheer white fabric that could be along the top of the mantle!

I just googled this and I'm in love with the first picture! This is basically making me wish I had a mantel at my wedding lol.

Thanks Sarah! Those are some good ideas. I will definitely be taking that decor down lol. And the beams of the venue have the little lights. The fireplaces can definitely be on if we want them to be. I like the idea of the Mr. & Mrs. or initials. We met at the dog park. Do you think it would be corny/tacky to have a photo of us with the dogs on one of them?

Maybe big block letters of your initials? or Mr&Mrs on one, and initials on the other?

Are the fireplaces going to be lit? if not, maybe you can do candles?

if you want something super easy, maybe string white lights on them to decorate but not make them the focus of the reception?

Personally, I would ask to take off the stuff that's on there already, unless it matches your decor.
