Good morning all!
So I am trying to plan a smallish wedding (not more then 100-120 guests)We don't have a ton of money to play with, but are looking for somewhere nice that will let us supply our own alcohol. Any suggestions? Any great places that any of you may have come across?

Mine is at my school. $175 for the banquet room and cafeteria. Potluck supper. Look in to old age halls, kiwanis clubs etc for deals

I 100% agree with what Stephanie said, at least for my particular budget! I am in the same boat as you, with the same number of guests and small budget. For some though, finding an all-inclusive venue is cheapest for them, and some venues do throw in decorations like centrepieces, napkins, dinnerware, which if those things are important to you (or necessary due to a "bblank " venue), it could potentially get quite costly to bring all that stuff in. What kind of vibe are you going for? Traditional, with plated 4 course meal, or low-key, with canapés? Somewhere in the middle? Finding out your style could be helpful in determining what kind of wedding you could have. Other options include going a bit outside of the city (I didn't check where you are located), a brunch reception, or afternoon reception, with limited alcohol/snacks rather than a full meal. Alternatively, you could have a cake and punch reception... Boy so many options!! Let us know if we can do anything else to help!!

    Hello Jenn,

I am also on a budget and I found that finding a venue that you can cater and you provide the alcohol is the best. You can decide exactly what you want as food to go along with your budget and even can get your guests to bring there own wine etc. You have more flexibility. I found a venue that was perfect and discussing with a caterer to find out what I can afford. Also I have a lot of DIY things and avoid having too much flowers (they can cost a lot). I saved money on having my reception adn ceremony in the same area.

    Hope this helped.
