Raincouver

Jacinta, on April 30, 2018 at 02:28 Posted in British Columbia 0 9

I'm getting married in the winter in Langley. I'm worrying about photos if the weather doesn't play nice. Its likely to rain or snow. Any recommendations for places to shoot if it rains?

January in Burnaby right here! We selected a photographer who had already done an off-season wedding at our location, so she knew the indoor and under cover areas. Our Plan A is rain, snow and/or sun will be a pleasant surprise. Plan for rain, so that no matter what, you aren't thrown off.

My biggest concern is mud as well, so even picking gravel or paved areas with nice backdrops could be good alternatives over grassy areas. My friend also mentioned she had a blanket/towel that they put down, then they put the dress down on it and hid it underneath...

Our venue has quite a grand stair case outdoors, we will be trying to utilize that as well.

I wonder if they will let you shoot at the Fort?

What kinds of indoor spaces do your venues offer? Can you stay behind in your ceremony venue and take extra pictures there? Are there side rooms at your reception venue? Are you doing a first look somewhere where you can take indoor portraits if it's bad weather?

Thanks! I'm going to start looking for clear or white umbrellas. I'm more worried about getting the bottom of my dress covered in mud! Not so much getting wet.
