    Hello 🙂
So I actually called the alcohol and gaming commission of Ontario and the only people who can obtain a license for gambling is charitable or religious organizations. So anyone who is not part of those groups that are hosting a game of chance (50/50 or raffle) is illegal. The fines are up to 2000$ and 6 months in jail for a first offence .. I asked what are legals ways to raise money and they told me donations, silent auction, charging an entry fee, or games of skill.

I am not sure, I don't think so. We do 50/50 and a superbowl pool at work and don't need a license. I think if you make it public where anyone can purchase it, then yes. But if you are keeping it amongst friends and family than no.
