Raffle

Izzy, on August 21, 2022 at 15:08 Posted in Before the wedding 0 4
Hi everyone!
I’m getting married in June 2023. Me and my fiancé are going to be doing a raffle in place of a stag and doe. When should I be doing my raffle? My future mother in law thinks January but I feel like it’s too close to Christmas. April is my bridal shower. I wanted to do it sometime between September - November. Please let me know what you think

Love, one hella stressed bride

My fiancée and I are also getting married in June 2023, and also planning on doing a raffle. Most couples I know that have gotten married in the last 3 years or so, have gone this route. We also have a similar plan laid out for our raffle. We're planning on doing ours early next year, no set time line yet though.

What about a valentines theme? There's no great time to do a raffle you are raising money for your wedding you can do it at anytime.

Through Facebook. A lot of my family and is spread through out Canada so they wouldn’t be able to come to an in person event, and they are already going to be paying a lot to come to the wedding. We have a budget for the wedding and don’t have the money to rent a space and pay for a catered event. It makes more financial sense for us to do it this way. My bridal party is going to sell tickets, I’m making a FB page for the raffle and posters to post online with all the information, and the draw will be a live stream.

How exactly are you hosting the raffle when you're not running an event?
