Puke on a rental tux

Machaila, on June 2, 2019 at 20:00 Posted in Just married 0 10
We’re married!! The day went off perfectly other than a bit of rain HOWEVER I may or may not have puked the arm of my husbands rented white shirt. Has anyone ever dealt with how returning it goes? It’s from tip top tailors. Thanks!

Just get a stain remover and I am sure it will help for when you return the shirt.

My husband dropped some dinner on his rented pants and returned it no problem! No fees or anything. They have to clean the suits regardless after return! Is the white shirt super stained at all? I hope the fee (if there is one) isnt too bad since it's just the shirt!

You got lucky! I’ve worked in a rental store before and it was policy that we charged the cost of purchasing if there was any bodily fluids on the suits 😬

We got married the same day! Congrats!
Luckily that didn't happen for us but the best man did spill the ketchup from his late night snack all ocert husband's pants! He didn't rent his suit he bought a custom suit so the bestman just paid for it to get dry cleaned.
I feel like they are used to rentals coming back with all sorts on them lol

Thanks everyone! I knew there would be a fee of some sort but wasn’t sure how to bring it in with the puke. Just ran it under water (read the label first to make sure) and there wasn’t even a fee!

Our groomsmen got vomit on his rental and they charged him $30 when the stain wouldn't come out. They said it happens quite a bit so no worries! Just be honest with them

I would just be upfront with the rental company when you return the tux... as well as get any solid chunks (if any) out. Just be prepared to pay a fee for cleaning/disposal of the shirt

    Congratulations!

I would say rinse off the vomit as best as possible and let them know. You'll probably have to pay some sort of fine for them to either throw it out or have it dry cleaned.

    Well congratulations!!!

As for the white shirt - I'm sure they may be a fee, but in general I find that honesty is the best policy. I wouldn't try and have it cleaned out before and I wouldn't ignore it going in either. I'm sure this isn't the first time something like that has happened!
