Pre-wedding Parties!!

Caitlyn, on July 29, 2019 at 15:35 Posted in Before the wedding 0 8

Sometimes your wedding isn't the only celebration of your love that you get to be a part of while being engaged.

There's bridal/wedding/couple's showers, Jack & Jill's/Stag & Doe's, bachelor/bachelorette parties, wedding socials, engagement parties, welcome parties, bridal luncheons....and probably so many more!

I'm wondering, what pre-wedding parties are you having/have had?

Spill all the details like who's hosting, where they are located, when you had/ will have the party, if there is a theme, what games and activities are involved

Thank you! I love tea, so its going to be a great day. We are welcoming big hats, so I can't wait to see what people wear

A peacock theme is so neat! That will look gorgeous! I’m in the same boat with my shower, my job is to just show up

I'm only having a bridal shower. It'll be thrown by my mom and sister (I think) at a golf course in Toronto. It won't be until next May though so it's still a while away!

We had our engagement party last August 4th over the long weekend - almost a year ago today! My parents hosted at their house in London and it was mostly my family/friends. We visited FH's family that May (2018) and they held a get-together for us at his dad's house on May 5th. Both were just hanging out, drinking, having some snacks - pretty low-key but fun!

My bridal shower is on August 24 and my mom is hosting it at her house. I think the theme is also peacock, like the wedding but other than that, my only role is to show up and be the guest of honour. The guys are doing an outing while the shower is taking place, then we're bbqing for the whole group afterwards.

Still unsure of when/what we're doing for the bachelor/bachelorette parties. For the bachelorette, it'll likely be 2 days before the wedding and going out to dinner/drinks and watching rom-coms. Not sure what the guys have planned lol

First we had our Wedding Social on March 29th - hosted by us at our local community centre

Next is the Bridal Shower on September 8th - hosted by my Mom and Sister(MOH) and I would assume help from the bridal party

Then my bachelorette party on September 28th - just 1 week before the wedding!! Not sure what is going on just yet though.

We didn't have too many of the pre wedding parties.

We are doing the whole Bachelorette/ Bachelor party. The ladies will be doing a wine tour the last weekend in September! The guys will be doing a golf and dinner in a couple of weeks.

I am having 2 showers as I didn't want a super big hall shower. So my Mother in Law is doing one at a restaurant, very unsure of a theme, or anything as I am not involved in planning it, just showing up.

My Step Mom is planning a high tea and Prince of Wales in Niagara on the Lake with my side of the family.

Other than that, we are just ready for the wedding day!
