I thought I would share my bad experience here with you guys..... I posted on FB this morning about dress shopping with my MOH and people who are not invited to the wedding started asking me a lot of questions like when is it? when will we get the invitations? .... I wasn't expecting such reactions I feel kind of bad and I tried not to upset anyone by saying that it’s a very intimate wedding, but still… Some people took it really badly and it made kind of a mess with some distant family members. Did you guys face a similar situation? How did you handle it?

Cool! glad to see it got better in the end... but yea dont mind that kind of comment... there will always be someone trying to make you feel bad about not inviting them... its like as soon as someone knows you're getting married their first question even if you just met them is whether they'll be invited and that's just selfish i think

Your right Jenn, fb or not I guess we can never prevent that kind of comment... Things are better now. I managed to talk things through with those family members

Id just ignore them.... fb or not i think there's always gonna be ppl with that type of comments or making a big deal out of it. i had someone tell me face to face at work when i announced my engagement that they'd "better be invited"... i find it totally inapropriate especially if theyre not close friends or family.....

yes, I think you're right... I hadn't seen it that way although I don't post a lot of stuff on FB about the wedding. It was just this once. And it's so anoying not to be able to share these special moments there without creating such reactions.

I think you should just ingnore them! And if they absolutely want to come maybe make them pay? I also think it's rude for people to post constantly about their wedding on facebook for people who are not invited. Not that you are but I can understand why fb should be considered something to use moderately and carefully in wedding context. hope you can figure things out with your family!

Oh nooooo!!! you hadnt shared it on fb before?? we like shared it right after our engagement!! we didnt have such strong reactions from pple though... invitations have not been sent yet so i guess were good for now, but i'll make sure to be careful... i hope things will get better with your family and that they will understand xx
