Played around with some foraged wildflowers :)

Trish, on September 17, 2019 at 00:37 Posted in DIY 0 10
My wedding is sept 26, 2020 so I decided to play around with what I could find on my property/the ditch in front of my house! Haha
I honestly didn’t think it would turn out this nice... I do have to admit my grandmother and step sister are both florists and I’ve helped them out here and there over the years so some of their know-how has rubbed off. Also, BE FRIGGEN CAREFUL with wildflowers and greens. A few of the flowers I used have poisonous lookalikes and the last thing you need is to get a burn/rash the day of your wedding. My sister got a hogweed (looks like Queen Anne’s lace) BURN this year and she’ll probably have the scars from it for the rest of her life. That being said, I made sure to do serious research on each plant before even thinking about touching them. 100% confident in my floral foraging skills now though. Can’t wait to recreate this with some purchased greenery and extra blooms to add some colour for my wedding in next September.

Wow that looks great. Glad to know you did your research is unfortunate your sister got a burn. I'm hopeless with that kind of thing too. I don't even know what poison ivy looks like.
