Hey Danika! Welcome to the community! I'm so glad you're joining us! Smiley heart I think you got some pretty good advice in here! Smiley smile What kind of pizza will you serve for your wedding? Will you go for buffet or seated dinner?

I can't wait to hear all about your wedding plans! Did you already choose your venue? Smiley smile

I'm not quite sure yet. We're looking around to get a good feeling of what we like and more importantly, what we can afford to like! Smiley winking

We are doing a starlight buffet of gourmet pizza, chocolate foundation with fresh fruit and other dipping treats as well as coffee and tea. And our wedding pies too. All at midnight.

If you have a good idea of your guests' food allergies and preferences as Samtam pointed out, and you really like pizza (I mean... who doesn't? Smiley tongue ), go for it! The only thing I suggest would be considering to serve your dinner similar to a family style and bring a variety of different pizzas to each table instead of a typical buffet setting and calling the table numbers because it will be cold and picked over by the time the last tables get a chance to eat. Also, taking the time to transfer pizza from the box to fancy plates might make it inedible. An alternative option might be to work out a mini pizza and salad menu with your caterer with a back up vegan and/or gluten free option and ask your guests to pick their pizza on the RSVP cards or website.

I agree with previous comments that pizza would make for a more casual feel for sure! I think you could elevate it and find a caterer that does wood fired pizza, or flatbreads to make it feel a little more special. I'm not against pizza- I just think it depends on what sort of atmosphere you are aiming for

Have you chosen a venue yet? Any chance they have one of those amazing stone ovens?

Pizza reception would be different. But if that's what your serving, I'd make the wedding on the more casual side. For us, we are having pizza as a late night table option!

I would be worried about getting pizza sauce on my dress! Smiley atonished Is pizza something that has meaning for you and your fiance? Would it be like a special type of pizza? Like a food truck or individual pizzas where everyone gets to pick their toppings? That would be cool. What would you serve guests who are lactose intolerant or vegan?

If you don't do it as a full meal, you could always do it for a late night snack!

I feel like you can have pizza at any party... unless they were special like stone cooked pizzas or something I would much prefer something a bit more special for my wedding. But if that's what you're into then that's cool

We thought about pizza or Chinese food... Everyone likes pizza... In the end we went with a more traditional plated dinner... If we were not getting such a reasonable price on the plated meal we would have gone with take out pizza or Chinese
