Pics and ceremony

Michelle, on January 23, 2018 at 18:14 Posted in British Columbia 0 2
So with possiblly having the ceremony inside. Is it OK or not ok to go to a nice park etc and have nice pics taken before the ceremony. As it would be awkward to have the ceremony at the hall then leave everyone for an hour or two and then come back later. Is that a no no?

Hey Michelle, that's totally ok! A lot of couples are opting to do a "first look" and see each other before the ceremony, and get some of those photos done early so they can enjoy the rest of their day with their guests.

If you don't do this, and you take your pictures between the ceremony and the reception, this is when couples host a cocktail hour. This is a time your guests can visit with each other, talk, and have drinks and snacks, while you take your photos. You'd typically try to get these photos done within an hour, and then officially start your reception, in order that your guests aren't waiting too long.
