Photographer issues

Hello fellow brides.. having some issues with our photographer. We paid our deposit to secure our date for next year, we had our engagement photos taken, and I’ve been nothing but agreeable and communicative..the problem I’m having is that because the photographer is a friend we went with her (she does do amazing pictures too) however she never ever replies to my messages, and we still haven’t received our engagement pictures. It’s been more than a couple of weeks, and the last message I received from her was that I would get them after this weekend (sent on Saturday..) now it’s Tuesday evening and I was really stressing that I’d like to have them by today so I could order them (Vista print sale ends tomorrow). Any suggestions or should I look for someone else?

    We got our engagement pictures about 2 weeks after. He does get busy , yet delivers puctures when he says the timeline.

    If your friendship matters over business, she can take her time. If she wants to be professional on her too, she would get the pictures to you by the weekend mentioned.

    Better find out if she will get be doing the same thing for your wedding or else look to find another photographer. It's not worth risking the friendship with her.

    Is her whole job being a photographer? If so, then she might be busy with several commitments at the same time and it takes a lot of time to edit photos. A few weeks isn't long to wait to get engagement photos back. I would suggest sitting down with her and talking about how you feel since she is a friend. You don't want to burn your friendship bridge over a business deal.

    I agree with Ashley! If she is doing this now how can you trust her at your wedding?!

    I think it really depends on the photographer! We got teasers (she said it would take a week) in less than two days. We used those for our invitations (but I just ordered the other day so I had all my photos back by then). If she is super busy doing a lot of photos then just remember she/he is trying to make them perfect and editing does take time. We waited a couple of months to get all of our engagement photos done. Hope that helps 😊 But I definitely agree with Ashley if you are in a strict timeline to get your photos back for your wedding as well then you may want to look into others

    If you fear that she will do the same for the wedding i would go with someone else.
