Photobooth vendors for dinner

Eartha, on November 28, 2016 at 09:35 Posted in Wedding reception 0 13

Hi All,

I just booked my photo booth venue this weekend and paid my first deposit.

I was wondering if you guys are planning to invite them to come and have dinner during your reception also?

The reason I asked is that I am only asking my photo booth venue to stay from 5pm - 9pm. My ceremony starts at 5pm and dinner should be around 6:30pm - 7pm. So I don't know if the food will all be finished serving while the time they are here.

Is it like assumed that they will be getting dinner from us?

I will be serving dinner for my photographer, videographer and DJ / MC as they will basically be with us the whole day during ceremony and reception.

Any advice would help Smiley smile

Thanks,

Eartha Smiley heart

Hey Eartha! It's amazing that you thought of the meals for your vendors! Smiley smile It's always super appreciated especially if they spend all day working on your big day. For the photobooth, I like what all the ladies have recommended, definitely check out with your venue for discounted meals! It also depends how much time your vendors will need to set up the photobooth. Will they be getting there during dinneror before? How much time do they need to set up?

    Thanks for the tips Samtam...

I just reached out to my vendor to see if they have a "discounted vendor meal". I never thought of that before... I've always just assumed that I would be feeding them, the only reason why I'm questioning is just because I switched my booking from the initial 6 hours to only 4 hours. I guess that's what was playing as a "trick" in my mind

I think that if they're there when dinner is being served, then you should feed them. We had a photobooth as well but it didn't arrive until well after dinner so we did not provide a meal for the photobooth attendant. Generally the caterer will offer a lower cost "vendor meal" for you to provide for your vendors. The vendors will most likely be working during dinner so they'll just grab a quick bite and then keep going. It's definitely good form to feed your vendors. They're working hard for you and deserve to be treated well too!

If you have any activities going on during dinner, you might want to check and see what time the vendors will get their meals. We were planning on doing speeches as soon as all of the entrees were served and thought the vendors would get their meals during the appetizer course but they didn't get it until the entree course so we had to wait for them to finish up before we could start our speeches and it pushed back our schedule and cut into our dancing time.

You could also ask the owners at the venue you are using and see what has been done in the past for this sort of thing!

Hahahha yeah well I guess hopefully if my dinner runs longer than 9pm, they will stay until they have had the full meal Smiley smile

That's why I was contemplating as I do want to serve them, but I just don't want the station unmanned. But I'm sure they know what they are doing

Thanks for your input Smiley winking

Our photo booth is run by my photographer who I am feeding. I would feed them if they are doing to be there during the time period. They might not say they expect food but they usually do and if you are feeding the other vendors, that would be weird if they aren't getting any food while everyone else is!
