You can find a lot of photo props on Amazon or at Party City. Backdrops are really common online too.

I've heard a lot of people buy Instax/Polaroid style cameras (often second hand) because it's still cheaper than hiring a photographer. And you can sell the camera and any unuset film to another bride after your wedding!
