Outside Catereing for Reception

You guys have been such a big help! Thank you 😭we have decided to rent a villa on AirBnB. It turns out it’s a lot cheaper and we can house our out of town guests! Thank you all so much✊🏽You rock

I would look at community centers, halls, different local venues that are private. Where i am only a selected few places don't allow outside catering.

You could also try looking at halls/community centres! Sometimes they'll let you bring in outside caterers. Also depending on your ethnicity, there might be a hall tied to it that provides ethnic foods. (Polish halls, Italian halls, etc.)

You can guarantee that any venues you look at that are golf course clubs or hotels will require you to use their caterers. Like Tori, I'm also in MB and my wedding is also an hour out of the city and we have outside caterers.

How about start with the caterers and see which venues they have catered at?

It’s so frustrating; my wedding is ethnic and our food is such a big part of that so I’m not budging on it. I will definitely check outside on Toronto and gardens/parks. I wanted a barn wedding/reception but I’d rather stay true to my culture and budget then comprise on it. Thanks so much for replying girl 🤘🏽Congratulations; you rock.

Although I'm in Manitoba - yes! 1 million times - yes!!

Most places want/require you to use their caterers and then they end up either not being what you want to feed your guests or they cost an arm and a leg!

I was able to find my venue that allows outsiders but they are 45 minutes outside the city. So maybe that would be where you could find one? That or a garden/park or community centre would probably allow it.
