Outdoor venues and decor

Hey beautiful people,

We're having our wedding at an outdoor venue. We have decorations for the arch, head table, and guest tables. We're getting a tent setup for the reception area (in case of weather issues). We don't have any hanging decorations to put up inside the tent.

Do you think not having hanging decors within the tent will make it look empty? Our budget is small and we've already exceeded it, so I'm super open to DIY options too lol


What sort of décor are you guys going with?

Inspiration pics are totally welcome!

    I agree with everyone, I think just some simple lights could go a long way! You could find some second hand, or even new and sell after the wedding!

    Really, people are going to spend more time focus on you then the decor, so I wouldn't worry too much about it, as it does sound like you do have some great pieces so far.

    I think adding just a bit of lighting to the tent will be perfect. Nothing over the top, but just enough!

    This is not my wedding but the decors my venue offers. I love it, very simple not over the top.

    Nothing a bit of lighting can't fix (maybe your DJ can help with some uplighting or strobe lighting). if you're truly bothered by how empty the space up top feels but are on a tight budget, I suggest string lights.
