Outdoor Venue in August

Hi guys


Has anybody had or attended a wedding in the Lower Mainland during August? If it was during that brutal heat wave.... what did you guys do? I can prepare for rain with a tent, but I feel like guests would still suffer if it gets too hot out. It's making me consider an indoor venue with a/c. (Doesn't have that rustic charm but it's practical) Thoughts? 🤷‍♀️

    My fiance and I are getting married the first week of August in Kelowna and it'll probably be 35+ degrees outside. I might die in my dress lol but it'll be worth it in the end. Our ceremony is outside at a winery but will be less then 30 minutes so our guests will be able to head inside to have a wine tour or whatever they choose until our cocktail our a half our later inside the winery ballroom. We're going to have little handheld paper fans that say our wedding date on it so people will have a little bit of a cool down if it's crazy ass hot out.

    That's a smart move!! And you can still take gorgeous outdoor pictures while making sure your grandparents don't melt! 😉

    Nevermind! Made up my mind to go indoors. Don't want any heat stroke happening to my beloved grandparents. Case closed. 😆
