Opinion on idea to line aisle

Emma, on August 31, 2018 at 15:05 Posted in DIY 0 6
Ok guys I really want to have a candle lit aisle. We are having a winter wedding. But real candles are too dangerous and the fake pillar candles are pricey.

I came up with this idea to use mason jars and led tea lights (that flicker). We made glitter jars with white glitter to give it a snow globe effect and then tied this glittery snowflake ribbon around the top. I was thinking of putting groups of two or three different sizes at each row (only 5 rows). We will have chairs with white covers and dark purple sashes.

What do you guys think? Is it too small? Too cheesy?

They look cute, you could use various sized jars or put some on platforms ( like log stumps) to give it some height

Its easy and simple to do to save money and use as centerpieces after the ceremony at the reception for guests taking home. It does look nice with the purple tied in your frosted white.

    Thanks!

It was actually super easy. The mason jars are cheap and easy to find right now. We just took some white glue and added a tiny bit of water. Then we used a paint brush to paint the inside of the jar about 2/3 of the way up (just be careful to get the glue even). Then we poured in white glitter, put the lid on and shook it. Then we poured out the left over glitter and let them sit overnight to dry. You can find you tube videos.

The ribbon i acttually just found at Costco yesterday. Yes Costco has Christmas stuff out lol.

SUPER ADORABLE!!! If you didn't live across the country I'd be asking you to send them to me after for my January wedding! Haha.

I may need to use this idea!!!
