Ontario couple looking at a venue in Quebec?

Hi all,

My fiancé and I are from Ottawa and aren’t looking at a venue in Gatineau, QC. I am just wondering if someone can give me insight into the process of getting married in Quebec as Ontario resident. Do we have to sign a Quebec marriage license or can we have an Ontario license since we are Ontario residents? I know Quebec marriage laws are different than Ontario so I am looking for advice/information on what needs to be done pre-wedding
