Online Invites

Sarah, on January 19, 2020 at 13:38 Posted in Before the wedding 0 6

Has anyone done online invites only? I would like people to rsvp on the wedding wire website as that is the website we sent out with our save the dates. There are some free sites that let you create an invite and then email it to your guests as an image attachment but I would have to email all guests from my own email or from a new wedding email.

Did anyone use a site to email wedding invites? I don't want it to be confusing for guests but just want to direct them to wedding wire to rsvp. Also looking at the free sites as this is something we don't want to spend money on...looking to save that money to put towards a band Smiley smile

Thanks everyone! After researching we ended up going with paperless post! We can add in a link to wedding wire for people to rsvp and add in our email list easily!! Excited to have it finished and save money!

We are going to be using Punchbowl for Save the Dates. We'll ask on there to tentatively RSVP and send their full address on to us from the Save the Dates. We will mention that we will be sending a more formal invite in the mail at a later date

We are doing mostly online invites. I made a few save the dates myself, & took a picture to email to the majority of our guest list. Although we did send a hard copy to those older family members/those we know who would want a physical copy. People were just excited to finally get a confirmation & date as we've been engaged for 3.5 yrs. I plan on doing the same for the actual invites, make a few myself, then email them around.

We are doing on line RSVP, I think the formality of a wedding deserves proper invite.

I would have LOVED to do online invites only (the invitations cost over $400!) but we had several older generation people who don't know how to use a computer so we did paper invites. If you have the same problem it's probably safer to do paper invites. I feel like in a generation wedding invitations will all be online - it's much more convenient.
