I was just working on reviewing our guest list with my mom - relief that we don’t have over 200. We initially started with a small guest list of about 100 people max - but this slowly crept its way up to about 170.

Question to my fellow wedding planning ladies (and gents) - how many people did you invite to your reception , and how many ended up RSVPing or attending your reception?

    We're in a similar boat where it looks like we're inviting 165, but only 120 will probably show up (more my numbers).

    Thanks for all your responses! Gives me a good general idea of approximately how many people to expect if we send out 170 invites

    Oh I hate that. I've been in a few weddings and it causes nothing but stress on the bride when you have no shoes. If you know you cant make it that say so, even a quick text.

    Invited 97, 80 RSVP as Yes, 3 of the Rsvp's didn't show up; without giving notice, an explation or an apology.

    Our list started our with 107 guests and down sized to 85. Final number came out to 72 given one last invite the month of the wedding.

    We budgeted for 150, so we stopped inviting after 145 just to be safe. In the end we’re about 120.
