Not Stressed.. yet?

Hi Everyone,

As we start our 6 week countdown my family keeps telling me the week before the wedding is going to be stressful for me. I already have almost everything planned out, taken care of & booked that I can't think of what is going to make things stressful.


Put a comment in if you can think of anything that I should plan out so avoid the unnecessary stress!

    Oh thats a great idea! I do the same with packing but for the day that’s great!

    When I plan I like to mentally walk through a day (this works really well for packing) and imagine what I'll need or be doing. This might help you to remember to pack sunscreen or that you need to wash your wedding undies (or any other weird forgettable thing).

    Having 5 days off certainly helps. A lot of couples unfortunately don't get any time off or if they do, maybe a day or two before the wedding. Good luck on the final stretch!

    That makes a lot of sense! I already have a good sense of everything that’s going to be happening so I’m making sure to get the “little things” done sooner rather than later. I also have 5 days off before the actually wedding so I’ll definitely make sure to have a bit more of an outline to what the week will look like

    It's less about having to plan or book stuff but rather having to acutely do it. Last minute meetings to go over plans with vendors, accepting scheduled deliveries on perishables, rehearsals and dinners, etc. And for some, out of town family will start coming in, which means spending time taking care of them. So rather than relaxing, they have to be "on" all the time.

    The week before can be stressful for 2 reasons: 1) you’re still getting stuff done (which you’re not so you’ll be more like ->Smiley winking 2) that waiting feeling that makes you want to get it over with already. The one thing I’ve found helpful to combat the stress is having my planner close by so any time I feel the nagging feeling that something isn’t done, I open it up and look through it. Plus it helps you feel good about what you’ve accomplished so far.
