Non-traditional Bridal Shower Ideas?

Hello beautiful ladies! I’m definitely a non-traditional bride, no hoopla for me. No bridal party, smaller wedding, etc. Each to their own! The thought of a traditional bridal shower with gifts and cheesy games is dreadful to me. I still would like to do a small gathering pre-wedding just for fun, nothing formal. Did anyone do a non-traditional type bridal shower or planning one? If so, share your ideas or what worked for you, please and thanks!

    I ditched the games too. I'm not a fan of showers. we had a brunch and mimosas theme and still did prizes but it was just a couple table trivia games and a scratch ticket at each seat.

    I'm definitely doing a more "I do BBQ/get together" as opposed to a shower. Still working on the wording with my mom. It's at her house with a big backyard and we'll have drinks and food, and it's more of a gathering than a shower.

    I wish I could do something small in my backyard!

    Depending on your style, you could do mimosas or sangria (or whatever your fancy is) and some finger foods!

    Although I will be fully embracing the hoopla - I would think that a nice little come and go backyard bbq would work good? You could call it an "I do BBQ" like how some people do for their engagement parties but as a shower type of get together
